The Guardian's Line

Ancient Historical Fiction 156–139 BCE ~158,000 words

156 BCE. At the crossroads of empires, one man must forge a new path between worlds.

Demetrios stands at the threshold of three civilizations. Born to a Greek father and Bactrian mother in Alexandria-on-the-Caucasus, he has spent his life navigating the tensions between his divided heritage. But when he falls in love with Priya, the brilliant daughter of an Indian merchant prince, he discovers that the future demands more than simply choosing sides—it requires building something entirely new.

From the blood-soaked siege of Sakala to the overwhelming grandeur of Pataliputra, from negotiations at the Han Empire's Jade Gate to desperate battles against nomad invasions, Demetrios's journey spans the known world. Along the way, he must reconcile his Greek military training with Indian philosophy, balance the demands of empire with the intimacy of family, and discover whether different cultures can truly forge a lasting synthesis—or whether the forces of purity and tradition will tear everything apart.

Set during a pivotal moment in history when Greek, Indian, Chinese, and Central Asian civilizations collided along the ancient trade routes, The Guardian's Line brings to life the remarkable but little-known Indo-Greek Kingdom.

For readers who loved Mary Renault's richly textured portraits of the ancient world, Steven Pressfield's warrior philosophy, and the cultural depth of Shōgun—a novel that bridges East and West with authenticity and heart.

The Merchant of
Napoli di Romania

Medieval Historical Novel 1535 A.D.

In the summer of 1535, a man returned to his beleaguered hometown, Nafplio — also known as Napoli di Romania — prepared to defend it against the gathering Ottoman storm. That man was Alexandros Leontinis, a Greek merchant of noble blood, torn between his love for the radiant Laura Zanetti and his dream of a free and independent Greek homeland.

As the Ottoman Empire encroaches, Alexandros joins forces with Laura's family and the Venetian governor to rally the people of Nafplio and fortify the city's defenses. Together, they face the Ottoman war machine, fighting valiantly at sea and resisting the relentless siege.

From the opulent palazzi of Venice to the wondrous imperial capital of Beijing, Alexandros' journey takes him across continents and cultures. Along the way, he forges new alliances, discovers ancient marvels, and fights to preserve the memory of his origins for generations to come.

An epic tale of love, war, and the unyielding spirit of a man who dared to challenge empires — and whose dream of freedom echoed through the generations.
